You get the cartridge (with the two handbooks) THREE Close to My Heart stamp sets and THREE sheets of chipboard pieces.  Now, if you aren't familiar with the Art Philosophy cartridge, than you should know that these stamps and the chipboard pieces coordinate with cuts on this cartridge.  That's right, you can cut out a shape - stamp it - mount it on a chipboard piece and you have WOW!!!!

I am putting in an order August 1st for this amazing cartridge...and if you'd like to order with me - I am offereing a special for $80. plus shipping, ($11.35)  YES, that's right, you will save!

PLUS...if you order from me, you can also get (for an additional $5.00) the stamp of the month! I will also include a FREE copy of the NEW Fall/Winter 2012 catalog and a FREE petite perk stamp set.

Celebrate This Blog Hop

Getting Cricky Blog Hop

Welcome to the Celebrate This Blog Hop.  If you have arrived from Heather's Blog, you are in the right place.  If you want to start at the beginning, you can start HERE.

I've created three projects for you today.  The first is to celebrate weddings!  I made this gatefold card from a sillouette cutting file.

This beautiful double-sided paper is from Close To My Heart.  The paper piecing is from Paper Piecings By Nikki.  I used the amazing "It's Valentines" stamp set and "I Heart You".

My second project is to celebrate my two-year old grand-daughters birthday.

This is another Paper Piecings By Nikki file. It's the cutest cut and is just perfect with the "It's Valentines" stamp set.  I also used the faux stitching stamps on the new "Sew Fun" stamp set.  I love, love, love that little button!!!   I am so happy with how this card came out!

My third and last project is for a baby shower.  I love how the sentiments work with the cut.
I used the "Southern Sayings" stamps set for this card.  The file is another file from Paper Piecings By Nikki.  I used scraps from my scrap box.  I'm really pleased with how this card turned out.

Thanks so much for taking time to come by and look at my projects for today.  Please leave a comment and your blog address, so I can come visit you!

Flashback Post

Today we are 'flashing back' at Getting Cricky.  This is a card I really enjoyed making and it is one of my favorites.  I cut my quilt pieces with a 1" punch.  Glued them to a piece of paper and ran it through my embossing machine.  Then added some faux stitching and this adorable cat piecing I got at Paper Piecing By Nikki.  I used the AWESOME "All About Animals" stamp set from K. Andrew Designs.  Here's a look at the stamp set.

Thanks so much for 'flashing back" with me today!  Please head over to Getting Cricky all week for more 'flashback' inspiration!

Fun Card with Twine and Wobbles

It's 'Twine Day' at Getting Cricky and I am so honored and excited to share a project I made a couple days ago.  This project just cracks me up when ever I look at it.  If you haven't seen the new twine at K. Andrew Designs, you should pop over and take a look.  I absolutely LOVE it.  I've not only used it in my paper crafting, but in my baking.  It is the perfect thing for tying up 'food gifts'.  Now, on with my project.

My grandest daughter and I were being 'crafty girls' a few days ago.  It was much too hot and we were sitting in the nice cool studio, which is in our basement.  For some reason, she kept asking for soda, which she knows I don't allow her to have. Even though it is sugar free - the caffeine makes her WOUND!  For whatever reason, I found myself letting her have some - but just a small cup.
Even the small cup got her bouncing off the walls - and we both laughed that it would be the only cup of soda she ever got from me.

The result of this shared experience is the following card!

I used K. Andrew Designs new line of twine, to wrap up the white layer of this card - to signify how 'wound' up Lexi gets on sugar/caffeine.  Then we put this little piggy and her cup, a new file at Paper Piecings By Nikki, on an action wobble!   I stamped the cup with a sentiment from K. Andrew Designs, new 'southern sayings' stamp collection.   I absolutely  love this card.

I took pictures of Lexi crafting with me, and I will use this card on a scrapbook page with those pictures.  I'll journal inside for a private message to her....and one day when she's older, perhaps she will remember the day and how we laughed at my little 'soda piggy'.

Here's a look at the 'southern sayings' stamp set:

Playing in the Mud Scrapbook Layout

My little grandest daughter, Anna, just loves being outside and following her Daddy around the yard.  They have the most extensive gardens - and Anna loves them.  This year, we have had so much rain that there are always puddles.  What child doesn't love a puddle.  Here is a layout I made of our Anna playing in the puddle, while Daddy gardens.  I'm so glad she took her shoes off!!!!

I am so blessed to be a member of two design teams. Getting Cricky, with K. Andrew Designs and Paper Piecings By Nikki.  Both these ladies are AMAZING.  They are two of the most loving, giving women I know.  Not only are they building a business - but they are giving back to the community - as part of every purchase goes to various charities.  Being a part of their design teams has done so much for me personally.  With their support and encouragement, I feel I have grown beyond my expectations.  The inspiration I get from my fellow DT members keeps me going, and love and support they give so freely gives me a reason to be creative every day.

For this layout, I used Nikki's "All For The Love Of You" file for the girl and for the splash - I used her "Summer Splashin'" pattern.

The sentiments came from K. Andrew Design Stamps "Beautiful Thoughts".  I love love love the bird with the french fry sentiment!
If you haven't visited K. Andrew Designs lately....you will be amazed at the new sets she has for you, as well as twine (and it's the best I've ever used) and some embellishments.  If you need a little inspiration, make sure you visit Getting Cricky.  The DT is posting every day with  a different stamp set - and you can't believe what they have come up with!

Thanks so much for taking a peek today!  Please leave a comment and become a follower...:)   I love to hear from everyone in this wonderful papercrafting world!!!

Scrapbook Layout and Card

Welcome back to another day of Getting Cricky inspiration.  I just received "Southern Sayings" which is a new stamp set at K. Andrew Designs.  WOW!  It is one of my favorites.  Even if you are not from the south, this is a cute, cute, cute set of stamps.

My first project just cracks me up.  We have an over-abundance of skunks in the neighborhood this summer and everyone seems to have a 'skunk' story.  When Paper Piecings By Nikki came out with this paper piecing, I just knew the card I had to make!  Here it is:
I will include my "super skunk off" scent remover recipe with this.  This is a good one to have taped to the inside of your medicine cabinet if you live in an area with lots of skunks.

1 Quart Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup of baking soda
1 teas laundery detergent

Just pour over the dog or cat and work into their coat.  Let it sit until almost dry and then rinse.  This doesn't 'cover' the scent, it actually does take it away.  Unfortunately, if you own a cat or a dog who has actually decided to take a bite out of the skunk, it will do nothing for the breath....

My second project is a layout I made with my grand-daughters as they helped make chocolate chip cookies...They had more fun 'stealing' the cookie dough when I wasn't looking, than actually baking the cookies...but, oh, what memories we have!

I used the BFF file at Paper Piecings By Nikki and Nana's Kitchen paper stack to create this page.  It makes me smile every time I look at it!!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my project today!

Card and Gift Tags

Today on Getting Cricky we are showcasing the "Namaste" stamp set.  If you order $25 worth of stamps at K. Andrew Designs you can get this stamp set FREE!!!

I had a lot of fun with this stamp set.  First I used it as gift tags for favors, to be given at a scrapbooking day I'm having.

Perfect for gifts of bubble bath and votives.

Next I made a cute little card with pictures of my grandest daughter.  I used a 1" paper punch to cut the pictures and then 1/4" larger mat inside the stamped squares.  I masked off one side of the floral border to continue stamping the 'windows' on the card.

My design team sisters told me this would make a cute wall hanging too.  I am actually going to use it at the top of a scrapbook page and journal a letter to my grandest daughter inside.

Did you notice the twine I used on all my projects???  This is NEW at K. Andrew Designs.  It is the most amazing twine I have used yet - and is perfect for those baking 'gifts' that you give to your family and neighbors. I will be stocking up on red and green for my Christmas Treats!!!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my projects today!  Please check out Getting Cricky for more inspiration with this stamp!

My Fourth of July Layouts - Getting Cricky Post

I hope everyone has had a GREAT 4th of July.  I know I did.  Hopefully you took a lot of pictures and are ready to scrapbook them.  For my post today at Getting Cricky, I used the new "Sweet July" stamp set and made three scrapbook pages for my 4th of July pictures.
This is such a fun set of stamps.  I have a picnic layout that I plan on using that tiny little ant stamp on!  Here are my pages:

I used the "Independence Day" Paper Piecing Files from Paper Piecings By Nikki.  You can see how perfectly "Sweet July" stamp set is for these pages.  I love that I can stamp directly on the piecings - or around them and they are the perfect size!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my projects today!  These layouts were so much fun to make - I hope they are an inspiration to you!  I am entering these into the Homespun Affair red, white and blue challenge.

A Garden Journal (Composition Book) - Getting Cricky

Today we are showcasing "Beautiful Thoughts", one of Kristal Andrew's new stamp sets.  I'm so happy to be able to share this little garden journal I made.  Our neighbor, who is an organic farmer, was nice enough to take care of all our animals, gardens, greenhouse and plants for us while we went on vacation.  To thank her, I made her a little garden journal out of a composition book.  Kristal Andrew's new stamp set "Beautiful Thoughts" was PERFECT for this book.
I stamped all of the sayings throughout the pages of the book.  I also added some fun things to the inside front and back covers!

I absolutely love the sentiments on this stamp set.  I can't begin to tell you how many times I've already used this.  If you'd like more ideas on how to use this amazing stamp set, visit Getting Cricky today!

This is my card.  I had so much fun making this.  This is my very first ever, tear bear.  My wonderful DT Sister, Barb Rapp, sent me some of her mulberry paper stash, so that I could try my hand at tear bears.  She sent really awesome directions, as well.  Well....I admit that I have LOTS to learn, but I am HOOKED!!!!   I had so much fun making this!  I used the sentiment from K. Andrew Design Stamps "Positive Thoughts".  I think it's the perfect pairing for the look on this little disheveled bears face!
This is my grandest daughter, Lexi's card. She had so much fun using the left over stars from my piecings. I love the way she did the double border using pop dots. She made this card for her dad to say "thank you for serving" his country - and for taking care of all of us.

I am the last stop on the hop today - but please follow the instructions to win some really awesome blog candy. If you leave a comment, please leave a way for me to visit you - I'd love to see what you are making~ here is the full lineup in case you've missed one of us on the way.

When I returned from vacation, I had a big package waiting for me!!!  All my K. Andrew Design Stamps had arrived while I was gone.  I got myself  SIX new sets.  Guy Talk, Southern Sayings, Sweet July, Food For Thought, Summertime Splash and the awesome free sets (for ordering) Namaste and Merci.  Well, when I saw  "Summertime Splash", I knew just what I wanted to do with these bears!  Now I have the perfect page for my vacation pictures.  Here's a look at this awesome summer set.
