FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE #49 - SHAPED CARD

Challenge Me Monday asks us to make a shaped card.  Not a square or a rectangle - but a shape.  This is what I came up with.

Front of the card cut from Sentimentals Cartridge at 4 3/4"  The lock has been cut at 2 3/4' and attached with popdots and decorated with stickles (of course)

The inside of the card is stamped "Friends" and written "Are the Key".  I threaded a key, also cut with the Sentimentals cartridge at 2 3/4" and attached to the ribbon - attached to the lock.

The key can be used as a bookmark if desired.  I decorated it on both sides, using the "flip" option on my cricut.

I had so much fun creating this and hope you like it!!!!

CRAZY FOR CRICUT CHALLENGE

I made this card for the Crazy For Cricut challenge.  Any kind of card, as long as you use your cricut.
I used Nates ABC cartridge - and chose something hopeful!!!  SPRING!  Here in Maine we got some more snow today - the banks are so tall, I wonder if they will melt by June???  Thanks Dina @ Crazy for Cricut for a chance to show off my card!!!!

The Paper Variety - Challenge #22

The Paper Variety has challenged us to use some kind of stitching on our project.

I made this card for a friend who just had a baby - and also for this challenge.  The faux stitching was done with a rubber stamp - but I'm just not happy with how it came out.  I think the stitching would have been better done with a black marker.

The baby quilt is made up of scraps of 1" squares.  I gllued them down to the pink backing and then I ran it through the cuttlebug.  It gives it a really, really nice texture.  The baby is from the "New Arrival" cartridge cut at 2 3/4".  I attached it with popdots...and also added a "Peachy Keen" face!!!

Thanks for taking a look at my card!

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #18 - Swirls and Twirls

This weeks challenge at Cooking With Cricut is to use swirls and twirls in our designs!  This is my project.
I used a rubber stamp swirl - and embellished with some stickles - and my current favorite cartridge "Disney Classics" for Thumper...who is hopping by to say hello.

I created another card too...this time with swirls and twirls which are embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

Thanks so much for taking a peak.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Mom's - Create-a-Critter

This is a card I made for the Scrappy Mom's Challenge.  Have you seen their new "Furry Friends" stamp set.  It is number one on my "WANT" list!  I just love the sayings!

I used Create-a-Critter cartridge and cut the cow at 3".  I used some embossing with a cuttlebug folder and added a saying.    Thanks for taking a look!

Lexi's Entry in the Creative Sisters Monday Challenge

Lexi is only 3 years old - but a passionate Cricut user and card maker.  Today she learned embossing and sponging.  The sponging got a bit heavy, and she was covered in ink - but she sure had fun and is awful proud of her card.  Of course, Hello Kitty is on a wobble!!!

She'll appreciate any comments - she said she's "so excited, it's her happiest day ever" to see her card on the internet!!

CREATIVE SISTERS CHALLENGE MONDAY #2 AND A WINNER FOR CHALLENGE #1

Welcome to the Creative Sisters Challenge Monday #2!  My sister, Linda over at Linda's Creativity is hosting this challenge.  Her challenge requires embossing!  For my project, I created a series of note cards using the cuttlebug embossing folders that I have.

This "Feel Better Soon Card" is 4 3/4" x 6 1/2".  I used Create a Critter - the sun and cut it at 2".  Peachy Keen everyday faces for the face.  Martha Steward Corner Punch and a cuttlebug embossing folder for that flowered background that I sponged in Brown.

This card was sooooo much fun.  I used my new Best of Pixar cartridge and made this cut of Dory at 3". The card is 4 3/4" x 6 1/2".  I used the cuttlebug "bubble" embossing folder and then sponged blue on the bubbles.  I made a few bubbles "pop" by adding some rhinestones to them...Of course, Dory was screaming for some stickles!!

This is a thank you card using the same embossing folder but without any sponging.  I used the Give A Hoot cartridge on this one and made it simple. The card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4 "and the owl was cut at 2 1/2" I added a brad in the corner and some ribbon - Just a simple card.

This is my favorite of them all!  I used Life's A Party Cartridge for this adorable lion, cut at 2 1/2 inches.  The card measures 4" x 7".  I used a wood like cuttlebug embossing folder on the blue layer and then added some bling and some ribbon and a sentiment.  Just a real fun card!
