April Showers Bring May Flowers Blog Hop

Welcome to the "April Showers Bring May Flowers" Blog Hop!

We're so happy you could join us today!

You should have arrived from Sandy's Blog..  If you happened by my blog or are joining me from your dashboard, head over to Miranda's blog to start at the beginning.  We don't want you to miss any of the fun!

We will be showcasing Spring like projects or projects with a rain or flower theme! In  addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy  available too.  Miranda will be giving away a gift card from either Michael's or JoAnn's (winner's choice).  To be  eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the  hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Wednesday, Apirl 24th on Miranda's blog!

For my project, I created two layouts.  Here is the first:

"Hello Sunshine" is a paper piecings file from Paper Piecings By Nikki.  I just love these happy little bugs!  I used the "Chantilly" paper pack from Close To My Heart and buttons, ribbon and accents from Close To My Heart.

My second layout, also features a paper piecing file from Paper Piecings By Nikki called "Spring Has Sprung".  The TeddyBear with umbrella was a freebie on her site - and is now just .50 cents!    I used the 'chantilly' paper pack from Close To My Heart again, and added some cute little journalling tags along the edge.  I think layout is a favorite of mine!

Now you can hop on over to Tara's Blog.
Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

Mary Ann - http://scrappingg.blogspot.com/

Please consider following my blog and leaving a comment.  I will be picking one follower/commenter to receive 2 cards from me.  Thanks so much for hopping by today!

Gone fishing layout

I just downloaded the "Gone Fishing" file from Paper Piecings By Nikki.  I had to use it on a scrapbook page.  This is what I came up with.

My Mother-In-Law passed away last year from lung cancer.  She was 85 years old and it was the first year she had ever gone fishing.  Her care givers bought her a fishing license and took her fishing.  I want to put her license and the picture of her fishing on this page.  She was so proud that she was the only one who caught any fish!
