Today we are showcasing the "I Heart You" stamp set at Getting Cricky. I created a cute little card set using the new Close To My Heart "Artiste" cartridge. Kristal's stamp set is the PERFECT accent to this cut.
This is an anniversary card for a very dear couple. Please go to Getting Cricky and take a look at more inspiration using this stamp set.

Twine Projects
Today is "Twine Day" at Getting Cricky. Yes, you heard right - Kristal is now offering Twine along with her amazing stamps! If you haven't checked it out, head right over to www.kandrewdesigns.com and take a peek. There are so many colors to choose from - and of course I ended up getting almost every one!!!
I went a bit overboard and made three projects for you! My first is a paperbag album that it a work in progress. I have so many things I want to do with this and it was so much fun to make.
I got the basic instructions for this from Kathy Yorta on 'youtube'. That lady has some amazing projects!!! Of course, I can never do anything 'exactly' like someone else...I think I have this 'hidden rebel' inside me. The older I get, the more it seems to assert itself. LOL After I constructed the basic album, I added some page reinforcements with cardstock and a glue gun. On the top and on the bottom of each page. Then, because it looked 'pretty' I made a binding of matching cardstock, with a fancy edge. Scoring the binding at the points you want it to fold, makes it stronger, I think.
Well, just before I added the binding, I thought...hmmmm, why don't I sew the pages in. So, using my awl (hole punch tool) and a big needle, I blanket stitched all my pages together then added the binding. Next came Kristals amazing twine. I wanted a little grab handle to save wear and tear on the binding, so I wrapped 4 lengths of twine, loosely through the binding and then hand blanket stitched on top of it. Adding some more lengths of twine I added some charms.
Another 'hint' when constructing this album. For a coordinated look - I used a book of papers that I had in my stash. It's from Paper Pizzaz - Paper Wishes. It was a book of 8 1/2 x 11 pages, and there was very little waste.
My next project is a layout I did with a paper piecing that screamed out for some twine!
I used Kristal's "Guy Talk" stamp set with this one, and think it's absolutely perfect!!!! I love how the twine gives those baloons that extra 'pop'. I also used some 'liquid glass' on the glasses, so it actually looks like the glasses are real!
My third project is for Halloween. I know I'm jumping the gun on this one - but I love to put a little sign on my door or to hang from the bulletin board. Here's this years:
I fell in love with this little owl piecing and knew just what I wanted to do with it. I added dazzles to the moon and buckle on the hat. Kristal's "Owly Whoo Sentiments" were PERFECT for this hanging. Of course the twine is the perfect accent!!!
Thanks so much for taking a peek at my projects today. I hope you will check out Getting Cricky for some more inspiration and kandrewdesigns.com to see what's new!

Guy Talk Projects at Getting Cricky
Today at Getting Cricky we are featuring the "Guy Talk" stamp set. As we all know, it's hard to find the appropriate sentiment for the 'guy' in our life. This stamp set is perfect for many occassions!
My first project is a card I sent to my accountant who successfully handled some tax problems for us.

Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky
Our Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky is "Fun With Puns". For my project, I used All About Animals stamp set.
Here's my project:
I used the new Critter Baby file at Paper Piecings By Nikki for the puppies and Kristals' All About Animals stamp set. Paper is from Paperwishes. Since I raise yorkies, my house is always 'yappy'. Perfect sentiment for my layouts!!!!

Getting Cricky Post - Winged Things
Welcome to another Getting Cricky post! Today we have been asked to use "Winged Things". I think this was one of my first K. Andrew Designs stamp sets. I have used this so often, as it is truly inspirational. For my first project, I have a paper bag album I am making. This is a work in progress!
I'm having so much fun creating this album. As you can see, there are pockets on the sides and on the bottom, that secure these tags. Not only tags, but any memorabilia you wish to slide in them. I will be showing more of this album as I finish it. I took the time to actually SEW the binding...and then lay a cardstock binding over it.
If you haven't heard, Kristal is now carrying twine in the store!!! I love it! Perfect for these tags and the tags of each page on the album. I use it for so many things.
Here's a look at "Winged Things", the stamp set I used in this project.
I have some older projects also done with "Winged Things"
Thanks for taking a peek at my Wednesday inspiration!
