Welcome to the Creative Sisters Monday Challenge.  My sister, Linda, is hosting the second challenge this month which is "Barnyard".  It's the perfect time of year for this theme, as everything in the barnyard in creating life.  My Grandest Daughters, Papa and I visited the organic farm across the street from us.  It is owned by two wonderful young people who refer to us as their "Fairy God-Neighbors".  Their sheep are lambing and we went to visit the new babies.  We also visited with the oxen, chickens, ducks and "Tiny" the cow.  Soon there will be a new little neighbor to visit, as they are expecting their first child, A BOY!

Here is my two page layout for this challenge. Hope it inspires you to create something from the barnyard!

Spring has really begun to show itself here in Maine - and despite some cool temperatures and the occassional spitting snow, I see green things growing.  I wanted to share my newest creation with you.  This is my Grandest-daughter in her new spring hat.
The flower goes on the side of the hat...but she insisted she liked it this way and who am I to argue with that cookie face?

Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather and that you have a chance to be creative this weekend!  Of course, if you are - create a bunny and join in our challenge!!!!

CREATIVE SISTERS MONDAY CHALLENGE #5 - BUNNIES, BUNNIES...

Welcome to the Creative Sisters Monday Challenge #5!

For the next two weeks, I will be hosting the challenge, which will be bunnies, bunnies, bunnies.  Here is what I've made to inspire you - I hope!!!

I made a set of 4 Easter cards, using the digital artwork of Trina Clark.  These two are my favorites.  I've always been hesitant to use digital art, but since this is a challenge - I challenged myself to try something new.

I LOVE the way these came out - and I'm definitely going to do it again.  I used a pre-made card base that I got from our March sponsor, Paper Wishes.  Using papers from the same company, I layered them and added lace strips from my Martha Stewart punch.   I made the artwork "pop" by adding some stickles, a puffy heart nose sticker that I got at walmart and sentiments.

We have a super awesome sponsor this month -

My sister, Linda, introduced me to this awesome digital artist.  If you aren't familiar with Trina Clark's work, I hope you will take a minute to visit her site.  She's having an awesome sale right now, with most of her art work packages just $1.  (You can follow the link I'll be adding to the right.)

Trina has some really GREAT bunny artwork.  It's really hard to choose just one (I bought 2). If you haven't done anything with digi images before, I encourage you to try...after all this is a challenge, right?  But if you'd rather use your cricket or something else, that's fine too.  As long as it's a bunny.

Okay the rules for the challenge are easy!

1.) Become a follower/friend and leave a comment to this post.

2.) Made something with a bunny and add it to Mr. Linky - You have two weeks before the challenge ends.

3.) Hop Hop Hop over to my sisters blog and see what she has made for this challenge and leave a comment for her, for another chance at some awesome blog candy she is offering!

That's it!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!!   Good Luck and have FUN!!!  Click here to go to my sisters site and see her awesome designs - she made a set of 4 cards too!!  Do sisters read each others minds????

BLOG CANDY FOR THIS CHALLENGE
Candy for this challenge will be a $5 gift certificate to Digi Scrap Kits, our sponsor!  You will have trouble choosing from all the GREAT artwork she has!!

LOOK what I got in the mail this week!!!!

This has been a hard week for me.  Having some medical issues that are yet to be diagnosed and I've been really tired - wiped out.  Then I went to my mailbox and received both these special treats on the same day!  Talk about bringing a smile to my face - and a lift to my spirit!!!  I thought, "Hmmmmm, all those cards in my box that I've made and not sent....surely there are lots of friends and family that need a snail mail hug or smile...."   My resolve, to SNAIL MAIL - not email - a card    smile every week!!!

While hopping on a blog hop, I saw this AWESOME card by Jeanine, http://www.scrappinwithjc.blogspot.com/ in my comments, I told her how much I loved it and if it was up for blog candy too!   Well, this amazing lady emailed me for my address and sent the card!!!  My hubby recently re-modeled my sewing room for me and once framed is going to be beautiful on the wall.  Thank you so much Jeanine for this awesome card.  I HAVE  to have this paper collection!!!

She said the paper collection was from "My Little shoe box, Sew Cute collection".  It is definitely on my wish list!!!  Thank you so much Jeanine for this awesome addition to my sewing room!!!

Second, my wonderful sister, Linda - http://www.lindascreativity.blogspot.com/ sent me this card in the mail, which was FULL of "House Mouse" digital images that she printed on watercolor paper and encouraged me to play with!!!  Not only has she gotten me addicted to papercrafting, but now I am addicted to these mice!!!! I have had so much fun with my little stash of mice.
If you are not familiar with the "House Mouse" stamp line, I encourage you to visit their website.  You can sign up for a "daily squeek" which will send a daily image to your email. mailto:DailySqueek@house-mouse.com   It definitely makes me smile every morning!  I have not done a great deal with digital images, but I am excite now to try!  While I am out buying my new stack of papers, I am going to buy some watercolor paper and try some digital images!!!!

Speaking of digital images...Our Creative Sisters Monday Challenge starts a new challenge, a new month and a new sponsor...Could it be "digital images?"   Check back tomorrow to see!!!!!
