Happy 60th Birthday Blog Hop

I am so honored and excited to be a part of Cathy's 60th Birthday Party Blog Hop.  If you've arrived here from Mary than you are in the right spot.  She is mega-talented and I hope my project can inspire you as much as she does me!  If you want to start at the beginning - please go to our birthday girl, Cathy's blog and start and end there.

For my project, I made a birthday card using the Groovy Times Cartridge and the amazing K. Andrews Art Stamps "Fashionable Friends" for my sentiments.  Here's a look at this stamp set:
I just love these stamps - and Kristal donates $1 of every stamp set purchased to charity.  You can purchase these at K. Andrew Designs.  Now for my project:

I cut the shoes at 3" and used shades of purples and hot pink from my stash.  A few stickles and some pop-dots complete the card.  I really love the way it came out.

What's a hop without some blog candy?  For everyone who takes a look at my project - I have a $20 gift certificate to My Memories Software.  ($10 off the software and $10 shopping at the store)  all you have to do to get this is to click the link on the left hand side of my page or go to My Memories and enter code #STMMM54552 at checkout.  I am having so much fun playing with this software and if any of you have the Your Story Binding Machine...it is absolutely PERFECT for that....or for making some family video keepsakes.

Next up on the hop is the incredibly talented, Linda.  By the way, she is also my sister and I know she will inspire you!  If you get lost along the way - here is the line-up:

If you've hopped along from the very talented Miranda, then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS  Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America.  You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Kristal's stamp sets are perfect for cards, layouts, and so much more...

For my project, I'm featuring the Winged Things Stamp Set.

 K Andrew Designs

For more details or to make this set YOURS, please click on the stamp set above!

For my first project, I used the saying, "Let your love take flight".  The wonderful thing about Kristal's stamps is the ability to make sooooooooo many different sentiments with them.  I used the bird cut from the Winter Frolic cartridge, snowflake paper from paperwishes, cuddlebug snowflake embossing folder which I inked for accent.  I'm so tickled with the way this all came out.

My second card is from the same stamp set!!!!!   I simply masked the second 'e' on the word "bee" and used "Sweet as can be" as my sentiment!   Did I say how much I love these stamps????   A little hint - every time I use  a different saying combination, I stamp it on the card that comes with that stamp set.  That way I always know what I've used.  I used the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge for the cuts and the same papers as the previous card.  I used stickles around the edges of the two candy canes.

Now you can hop on over to your next stop: Sherry

Special - this weekend and this weekend only (through Sunday) Cricky Fans will get 20% off their entire purchase of K Andrews Design Stamps when they use code Cricky20.  Wow!!!  Thanks Kristal!

Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky

The Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky is....
It's Tea Time!! Since the weather is getting cold outside, the Senior Design Team is featuring projects with a hot beverage...coffee, tea, hot chocolate...

This is my project for the challenge.  I used Kristal's "Fashionable Friends" Stamp Set for this project.

For My project, I used something I bought at Daisie Company - It's a little gift pouch that can be filled with anything you like - and then stamped with what ever sentiment you desire.  I chose "When you need a little lift"... and on the back "I'm here for you".

Inside I tucked a packet of hot chocolate.
This is where I will write a note to my friend who has had a tough week.
Just a little something to make her smile when she finds it on her desk
Monday Morning.

Here is a project I just made - with the help of my 4 year-old granddaughter.  I got these printables from Daisy Company for the box and the candy wrappers - and used my new stamp set for the sentiment.  It all ties together perfectly and I'm making them for all the girls at my husbands office for Christmas!

Here is the "Sweet Wishes" stamp set I used - a bonus if you order over $25.00 worth of stamps.

EVERY stamp you purchase benefits charity! At least $1 from the sale of every single stamp set goes to a well deserved charity.

For my project today, I created a card for my Dad.  Dad served in the Naval Reserves and is very proud of his service to this great country.  With Veteran's Day coming up, I wanted to send Dad a card to let him know how proud I am of him and his committment to this country.  I also made and sent cards to both my boys who served in the Army.

For this card, I used the Stand and Salute Cartridge - some brads from Paperwishes and some stickers from my scrapbox.  I used pop-dots to make some elements stand out.  Thanks so much for taking a peek.

I have my own special blog candy to everyone who takes a peek today.  I'm offering $10 off My Memories Digital Software - and another $10 coupon to the Mymemories.com store.  All you have to do is enter the code STMMMS4552 at http://www.mymemories.com/ to get this discount. Or you can click on the link on the left side of my blog! (a $20 gift for you).  There are plenty of freebies and lots of inspiration - please check it out!

New Junior Design Team Member at Getting Cricky

I am so excited to be a new member of the Junior Design Team at Getting Cricky.  I'm just walking around with a big smile on my face and can't wait to get designing with Kristal's awesome stamps!  Along with a live Ustream on Friday evening, she is having an awesome blog hop this weekend to showcase her new stamp designs!  You can click here to start the blog hop and see the amazing new stamps.

I wanted to share a project that I made with her "Winged Things" stamp set.  I made two of these - one for myself and another for a friend in church.  It's an oversized bookmark for my bible.  I am always taking notes, or jotting down scripture and this gives me plenty of space to do so!
I used a "House Mouse" image, that I received in my email.  It seemed to fit this sentiment perfectly.   The book mark is actually 4" wide x 6" long.  This picture is a closeup of the top.

You can order this awesome set of stamps at K. Andrews online store - Here is what this stamp set looks like!

Make sure you check out the Getting Cricky blog and hop along with all her super talented friends - she's got some special discounts available as well as some super blog candy!

COOKING WITH CRICUT CHALLENGE #58

The new Cooking With Cricut Challenge is to use Cookies, Cookie Monster and/or clocks in your design.  My granddaughter and I made a double batch of Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies and frosted them with yummy orange colored icing.  To thank our neighbors for giving us the cooking pumpkins, we made them this box of cookies!  They just had a little boy, so I hope she will save the cookie monster cut for his scrapbooks one day!

I used the sesame street seasons cartridge for the box and the sesame street friends cartridge for the cookie monster cut, 'cookies' and the cookie.  This was a fun project!
